Nathan P. Caplan, 76, of 1045 W. Lincoln Ave., Peoria resident for 24 years, died unexpectedly at home about 3:30 this morning.
Born in November, in 1885, in Russia, he married the former Miss Nettie Cohen on August 15, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo. He operated a shoe repairing shop at 604 SW Adams St. for 41 years.
His wife survives, along with one son, Meyer of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Nelson Sutter of Jacksonville, Mrs. Cecil Kistler of Peoria, and Mrs. Harold Seavers of Peoria Heights, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 o'clock Monday morning at Gauss Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
