Our final words to my precious daughter, Alyssa
You will always be in our hearts. We love you so very much. You are our life. We're not sure how we are going to get past this, but I know you're saying, "Momma Don't Cry". I always told you, Alyssa, I'm trying not to. Just looking at your pictures makes us so happy. Your smile just lights up our day. Your uncle Keith is sitting by me and wanted to say he painted his nails purple just for you. (hands and toes). He is also using your ice pack. Hope that's ok??
We know you can see just how many hearts you touched. Everyone loved you so very much, but you were not only our daughter, but my best friend, my whole life. We will miss you more than words can say. We know you were so tired of being poked and know you're resting now. But our pain is so bad right now. Please help us baby girl to just get through the day. You're everywhere we look. We don't want to be selfish and we know you're safe and taken care of now. You always said, "Momma doesn't do it that way!" We always did as much as we could for you and just wanted you to have a happy life. You sure made our lives happy! Momma will always miss my little side kick and Daddy Dave will miss his little helper and buddy.
Love you Always,
Your Mom, Daddy Dave & Your Best Friend

The following quote expresses my feelings at this very moment for my baby.

"If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again".

Yet, I know if Alyssa could talk to me, this is what she would say. Don't cry, you need to get a life now. I'm just fine. I've been hanging out with Grannie Sprayberry and she is blowing the French harp for me. It is wonderful to be walking and not have that wheelchair. Thank you for loving me so much and for spoiling me too. You're the greatest Mom in the world. I love you Mom!
