Marcelle Duncan Saulmon, age 79, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 following an extended illness.
She was born on December 22, 1927 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Charlie Duncan and Beatrice Buchanan Duncan. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She worked for many years for Fairhaven Nursing Home as a Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the Glenwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Saulmon in 1997 after 32 years of marriage; she was also preceded in death by a son Bruce Hill and a daughter Judy Powell.
Mrs. Saulmon is survived by two sons, Larry Hill and his wife Karen of Inman, SC and James Hill of Forest City, NC; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and by two brothers, Clarence Duncan and Ray Duncan both of Gilkey, NC.
Interment: Glenwood Baptist Church Cemetery
