Promoted to Captain Aug 1, 1862. Present or acc'td for through Aug, 1864. Captured at Fort Fisher January 15, 1865 and confined at Fort Columbus, N.Y. Harbor, until paroled & exchanged at City Point, VA, March 5, 1865.
When Octavious H. Blocker resigned on August 1, 1862 Lt. Braddy was promoted to Captain, the battery became known as "Braddy's Battery."
