MRS. MARY ANN BLAZER
Mrs. Mary Ann Blazer died Monday, Nov. 25, at her home in Garden City. She was 93 years old. She was born near Freeman on Feb 13, 1881, the daughter of Thomas W. and Louisa Katherine Akers. She was educated at the Bills Country school near her childhood home.
She was married to Henry C. Blazer on Sept. 28, 1904, and the couple lived on a farm near Harrisonville. They were the parents of four children, Wilma Blazer of the home, Erma F. Smith, Garden City, Henry C. Blazer, Jr., Huntington Beach, Calif, and a daughter, Alberta May, who died in infancy.
She was a member of the Harrisonville Christian Church.
Preceding in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, five sisters and a granddaughter, Lois Marie Smith, she is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 29, at the Christian Church in Garden City under the direction of the Runnenburger Funeral Home. Burial was at the Freeman cemetery.
