Friends of Frank H. Barwise, 82, regretted to learn of his death in Oklahoma City at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.J. Dolman.
Mr. Barwise had been ill for several weeks from a severe attack of flu. He spent several days in the Hamilton Hospital in Olney before going to Oklahoma City with his daughter. He remained there until his death.
While living in Olney Mr. Barwise was engaged in fire insurance business. He made his home in Olney for 4-5 months.
Mr. Barwise was a member of one of Wichita Falls' first families. He was the second son of Judge and Mrs. J.H. Barwise, who came to Wichita County in 1880 and helped found the city of Wichita Falls at intervals since that time.
Survived by one daughter - Mrs. J.J. Dolman of Oklahoma City; two sons - T.M. Barwise of El Paso and Allen Barwise of San Antonio; two brothers - J.H. Barwise, Jr of Fort Worth and M.A. Barwise of Electra; 11 grandchildren.
