Caribou County Sun dated February 12, 1987 Service Held for Alberta Foster Funeral services for Alberta Ardeena Daniels Foster, 72, of Soda Springs, were conducted Monday, Feb. 9, at the Soda Springs LDS 5th Ward with Bishop Ronald Curtis conducting. The family prayer was offered by Edward Minnig. The prelude and postlude were played by Shirley Clegg. Stephen Foster and Albert Foster sang "Beyond the Sunset." They were accompanied by Shirley Clegg. The invocation was offered by Gloria Johnson. Emma Woodland gave the life sketch, followed by the speaker, Bishop Richard Torgesen. Eliza Lei Sibbett sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine," accompanied by Shirley Clegg, followed by remarks by Bishop Ronald Curtis. Eliza Lei and Glade Sibbett sang "In the Garden." The benediction was offered by Stephen Minnig. At the Fairview Cemetery the dedicatory prayer was offered by Budd L. Daniels. The pallbearers were Jerry Foster, Ron Foster, Edward Minnig, Brent Minnig, Duane Minnig and Stephen Minnig. Honorary pallbearers were Shane Minnig, Eric Pugmire, Travis Minnig, and Roger Southwick. Care of the flowers was by the Soda Springs 5th and 8th Ward Relief Societies. Mrs. Foster passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, at her daughter's home. She was born April 29, 1914 at Wayan, a daughter of Albert S. and Daphne Elaine Nelson Daniels. She married Hyrum Elon Foster, Aug. 22, 1933 in Pocatello. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 20, 1951. Mr. Foster passed away June 21, 1986. Mrs. Foster was raised in Wayan, Henry, and Soda Springs. She attended Soda Springs schools. She also lived in Blackfoot, Ogden, Utah from 1960 to 1980, and Morgan, Utah from 1980 to September of 1986 when she returned to Soda Springs. She was a member of the Soda Springs LDS 5th Ward. She had taught Sunday School, served as secretary in the Relief Society, and served in the Stake Relief Society as a board member. Her hobbies included embroidery, painting, playing the harmonica, and she enjoyed horses. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Albert J. Foster, Soda Springs, Hyrum S. Foster, Croydon, Utah, Mrs. Eugene (Jean) Minnig, Soda Springs, and Mrs. Viola Pope, Los Angeles, California; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and three sisters, Frank Daniels, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Bud L. Daniels, Salt Lake City Utah, Ned Daniels, Los Angeles, California, and Roland Daniels, Napa, Mrs. Thomas (Emma) Woodland, Blackfoot, Mrs. Dorothy Collins, Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Dot Bybee, Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Roger Elon Foster, Ronald D. Foster; one sister, Bertha Daniels; one brother, Russell Daniels; and one granddaughter, Cathy Stewart. Funeral services were under the direction of the Allen-Sims Funeral Home.
