CONCORDIA — The funeral for Louis A. Fraser, 57, Concordia, will be at 10 am Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church here, the Rev. Loren Werth officiating.
Mr. Fraser died Wednesday at the Topeka Veterans Administration hospital.
He was born April 29, 1918, at Concordia.
He farmed in the Hollis community north of Concordia until 1972 when he retired and moved to Concordia due to ill health. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and the Concordia Moose lodge. He served with the US Army during World War 2 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans posts, "all of Concordia.
Surviving are the widow, Norma; a son, Thomas, Concordia; 2 daughters, Loretta Fraser, Concordia, and Mrs. Sharrid Ann Girard, Manhattan; 3 brothers, Ray, Omaha, Neb.; Dennis, Denver, Colo., and Paul, Hillsborough, Calif.; 4 sisters, Mrs. Rita Galvin and Mrs. Roberta Kepler, both of Kansas City, Kas.; Sister Mary Joseph Fraser, Concordia, and Mrs. Ella Thurston, Jamestown.
A rosary will be at 7:30 pm Thursday at the Chaput-Buoy funeral home, Concordia, where friends may call. Burial will be in the Concordia Catholic cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the American Lung association in care of the First National bank, Concordia.
