Jerry was a WWII Veteran, having fought in the Phillipines. He was given the Silver Star for bravery, for being the first unit on the ground in Japan after the Phillipine battles.
He and beloved wife, Mary were devout Christians and attended church regularly. Jerry is survived by two children, two son-in-laws, 4 grandchildren, and 10 gr-grandchildren. Their daughter Nancy, and his parents preceded him in death.
Jerry was a hard worker, and always had a large vegetable garden every year, which he devoted many hours to, and shared the wealth of his bounty. He and Mary had many friends, and they got together with long time friends, regularly to play domino games. He loved to joke and kid around, and his great sense of humor and kind heart endeared him to everyone who knew him.
He had a deep love of the Lord and his family. Family was all important to he and Mary, the love of his life.
