Louis served as a 1st Lieutenant with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He resided at 777 Long Pond Road, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the New York National Guard on February 10, 1941, prior to the war, in Rochester, New York. He was noted as being employed as an Engineer for the Eastman Kodak Company and also as Single, without dependents

He was "Killed In Action" in a bombing mission over Northern China during the war. He was awarded a Purple Heart.
