David G. "Pig" King, 62, of Prosperity, died Monday, August 13, 2012, in the Greenery Specialty Care Center, North Strabane Township (Canonsburg).
He was born March 22, 1950, in Waynesburg, son of David P. and Imogene Gosney King.
Mr. King was a member of Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church.
Following graduation in 1968 from Cameron High School, Cameron, W.Va., he attended West Virginia University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Mr. King retired as a supervisor for Overnight Trucking and UPS after more than 30 years.
He enjoyed cooking, music and the times he spent at his log home with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are a son, Troy King, and a daughter, Taryn King, both of Prosperity, also the children of Kerry Bristor King of West Alexander; a sister, Karen King Garera of Cartersville, Ga.; his companion, Debbie Babich; two nephews, Scott Garera of Sayville, N.Y., and Mark Garera of Chandler, Ariz.; and several cousins.
