This is my tribute to a childhood friend.
Nathan E. Dugger - Age 53, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee as a result of an automobile accident. He was on holiday visiting his brother.
The vehicle in which Nate was a passenger was struck as it proceeded through an intersection by a 2nd. motorist, who ran a red signal at a high rate of speed. Nate died later at the hospital. The driver, Nate's younger brother Kirk, was critically injured, but survived the accident.
Nate was a dear schoolmate, friend, & confidant from K-12. He is loved & missed by all whose life he touched.
Nathan was the son of Marvin E. and Roma (Landry) Dugger. He graduated from Byron High School in 1972 and lived most of his life in Byron Michigan. On July 19, 1976 he married Melissa Smakal in Gaines. Nathan retired on Jan. 1, 2007 as a welder at GM's Metal Fab plant, and was a member of U.A.W. Local 659. He was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Durand. Nathan was a kind, loving person, who loved Jehovah, and found joy in helping others. He is survived by: his wife, Melissa; a son, Blaine; a daughter, Courtney Fisher; his father, Marvin Dugger; a brother Kirk Dugger of Tennessee. Nathan was predeceased by his mother and grandparents.
