Harvey P. Girard, 90, of North Port, died March 19, 1997, at Bon Secours-St. Joseph Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla. He was born Sept. 26, 1906, in Canada and came to North Port in 1972 from Springfield, Mass. Mr. Girard was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Yvonne Plante Girard of North Port, and several nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the James A. McKee Funeral Home, 14538 Tamiami Trail, North Port. Services will be offered with a Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port. Interment will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
