She was the wife of Colonel Henry Beard.
Martha first married William Beard (son of Sarah Campbell Beard) in 1800. They had three children prior to Willam's death in 1813. She then prior to 1817 on April 10, 1816 she married Col. Henry Beard and had several children. The Col. was the nephew of her first husband (William's brother Joseph's son).
