Daniel Lamont Gibson, a resident and native of Baton Rouge, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 42, a heavy equipment mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Visiting at Carney and Mackey Funeral Home. Religious service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1915 Fairchild Street, conducted by Rev. Eddie Sulcer. Interment at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mount Pleasant Road, Zachary.

He is survived by his father, Alexander L. Gibson, Jr.; his daughter, Dynasty Gibson; his step-daughter, Alyssa Johnson; sons, Dylan Gibson, De'Onte Gibson and Damon Gibson; sister, Arpege Gibson; brothers, Alexander Gibson, III and Derrick Gibson; two nieces, Alexis Gibson and Shy'Asha Gibson; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gayosa Mae Harrison-Gibson.
