Daniel Christian "Chris" Melton, 40, was a resident of Denham Springs, LA and a native of Watson, LA. He passed away on Saturday November 3, 2012 in Baton Rouge.
He was the most loving father to his children and a rock for his loving wife who will forever love him until her dying breath. Chris proudly served his country in the US Navy.
Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs until funeral services in the chapel. Burial at Louisiana National Cemetery with full military honors.
Chris is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Brandie Melton; children Destiny Ross, Angelina Melton, Alena Melton, Johnothan Fortenberry, Devin Babin, Zachary Wallace, Landon Wallace and Brady Wallace; sister Deborah Melton Cobb; brother James Robert Scott; grandparents Mildred Estel Melton and "Bill Bo" Melton.
He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Melton, uncle Jim Melton and uncle Bobby Melton.
Pallbearers will be Chad Everett, Kevin Turner, Stuart Bourgouis, Greg Price, Jeremy Goff and Steve Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy, Glenn Thompson, Chris Thompson, Eric Everett and Adrian Everett.
Chris loved writing poetry and his wife will one day have it published for him.
