John lived right. He was always in the moment never worried about what just happened or what might happen in the future.
He didn't take himself to seriously. He balanced work and play, always remembering to get his beach time in every day.
He took time to get to know everyone he came in contact with. He always greeted them with a hug and a smile. As a result everyone on the Island and back in his home in Allyn, WA knew and loved John.
There were no short conversations with John. He would just talk to you like neither you nor him had anything to do other than just visit. He truly embodied the spirit of aloha.
John died instantlyfrom a heart attack while camping at his favorite Big Island Beach, Makalewena. He leaves his wife Linda and daughters Lisa and April. and several Grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We are all very sad John is gone. John exit from this earth couldn't have been better planned. He died doing what he loved best in the place he loved the most.
The memories we all cherish of John will live on with us forever.
He was a Submarine Sailor in US Navy and A Firefighter in the City of Bremerton until he retired after which he spent his time between his home in Allyn WA and Hawaii
