WHEELER - Juanita Fillingim, 77, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, in Henderson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in United Methodist Church in Allison with Gary Jahnel and the Rev. Tom Carter officiating. Burial will be in Cataline Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Juanita was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Olney Springs, Colo., to Orval E. and Velma O. Boren. She went to meet her Lord and Savior on Jan. 17, 2011.
Juanita graduated in Olney Springs. She was a homemaker.
Juanita married Horace A. Fillingim on Sept. 19, 1954, in Olney Springs. They were together until his death in March 2004. She was an active member of Allison United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Horace Fillingim.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence Fillingim and wife Wanda of Tatum; a daughter, Bonnie Maddox of Tatum; a sister, Eunice Akins of Canon City, Colo.; an uncle, John Williams and wife Melva of Pueblo, Colo.; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Fillingim, Elton Fillingim, Verna Fillingim and Cornelia Lehman; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Adams Tipps Fund, in care of Dick Irvine, 15675 Highway 152, Wheeler, TX 79096.
