Bryan Taft Samples passed away August 16, 1965 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born May 22, 1910 in Upshur County to James and Effie Buchanan Samples. Bryan married Edith Jane Barbe on July 19, 1947, who survives. He was with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Also surviving are brothers: Marion and Jay of Upshur County, Garnet of Pa. and Eli of Ohio. Sisters: Eula Channel, Lydia Coe of Upshur County, Geneva Dupont of Md. Adele Harman and Maxine Miller of Ohio. His parents and an infant sister and one brother precended him in death.
Services were held at the Rock Cave Baptist Church with Rev. E.U. Dawson and Rev. Perry Wright officiating. Burial followed in Heaston Cemetery.
