STREATOR - Charles A. "Chuck" Barr, 64, of 621 Carriage Lane Estates, a car salesman for many years, died at 3 a.m. yesterday (Aug. 14, 1985) at his home. He had been ill several months.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday ata the First United Methodist Church of Streator, the Rev. William Heinbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Lostant.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator.
Mr. Barr was born Feb. 20, 1921 and near Lostant, a son of Clyde and Emma Crews Barr. He married Arla Grivy Aug. 29, 1941, in LaSalle. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Streator, a son, Kenneth, Milwaukee, Wis.; three daughters, Bonnie Monroe, Cincinnati, Ohio; Kathleen Matusik, Canton; and Carla Hoeper, South Bend, Ind.; a brother, Earl, Altamont; a sister, Doris Zack, Streator; and 10 grandchildren.
His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Barr formerly was employed by Rutledge Buick-Pontiac Inc., Streator. He had spent most of his life in the Lostant-Streator area and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Streator and the Streator Kiwanis Club.
Memorials may be made to the church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
