George served as a 1st Lt. and Navigator on B-25D (#42-30239), 405th Bomber Squadron, 38th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He resided in Prince George's County, Maryland prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Maryland National Guard on February 3, 1941, prior to the war, in Hyattsville, Maryland. He was immediately given the rank of Sergeant upon enlistment. He was noted as being employed as a Architect and also as Single, without dependents.
George was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
