Charles P. Lewis was the son of William and Elizabeth Lewis. He married Alice Jane Fillmore of England in 1887 St. Louis, Mo. Charles was a Carpenter. He was the father of 2 Daughters: Nettie (Elbe) and Mabel (Rutschman).
Charles went to visit his daughter Mabel in Denver, Co. and was shot as a innocent by-stander between cops and robbers. He did not survive and is now buried in Denver.
From what I have heard from relatives is that he was always in a good mood and made everyone laugh. They say he would still be alive today if it wasn't for the visit to Colorado.
