Wanda was born on Jan. 12, 1920, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to John Henry Kerns and Helen "Honey" (Greenfield).
In later years, her step-father, Rollo J. Shaw, moved the family to Klamath Falls, where she attended Klamath Union High School and worked in the Pelican Theater. Wanda met Carroll Robison and they were married in Klamath Falls on Dec. 5, 1940, and made their first home on the family ranch in Merrill, Ore. Later, they purchased their Red Rock Valley Ranch east of Macdoel, Calif., where she was a homemaker and assisted Carroll in ranching. In 1974, they sold the ranch and retired to their property in Mt. Hebron.
Wanda enjoyed flower gardening, shopping, reading, cooking, and arts and crafts. She was an avid supporter of her children in 4-H with their projects. Wanda loved ocean fishing with Carroll off the Crescent City coast with family and friends. Their great love was traveling to Arizona to watch the San Francisco Giants spring training. She loved their travels to Alaska and to Oklahoma and Iowa, visiting relatives and friends.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 70 years; her children and spouses, Monte C. and Beverly Robison of Weed, Calif., and Cinda and Rusty Hands of Mt. Hebron; grandchildren and their spouses, Jackie and Chris Girdner of Yreka, Calif., Todd Robison of Atascadero, Calif., Tad and Stacey Krouse of Silverdale, Wash., Dena and Brad Hadwick of Klamath Falls, and Bo and Lisa Hands of Montague, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Trey and Terah Girdner, Travis Robison, Taylor and Dyllan Krouse, Maranda and Kyle Hadwick, Breanne and Wayd Hands; her brothers, Rollo Shaw of Olympia, Wash., and Leslie and Robert Shaw, both of Klamath Falls.
