He was born on Dec. 30, 1920 in Payson, Ill. to Orlo and Francis Curran Geisel. He married Drucilla McSwain on Nov. 4, 1947 in Ft. Smith Ark. He became part of the greatest generation that ever lived by serving in the US Army Air Corps in WWII and was a part of the European Theatre.

On Nov. 5, 2007, he married the love of his life, Drucilla Mae McSwain. They started their life together in Ft. Smith, Ark. They then came to Gainesville in 1951 and he worked at Gainesville Auto Parts. He also owned Bomar and Geisel Garage, worked as a gunsmith for Rangers Arms and drove trucks part-time for Groedyke. When he retired as a machinist from Gainesville Auto Parts he then worked 14 years part-time for North Central Texas College for campus safety.

Life long hobbies included fishing, hunting and working on guns. Prior to being homebound, he loved visiting with his many friends at the Waffle Inn, NCTC, Geo J Carroll Funeral Home, Tempa's Beauty Shoppe and anywhere there was someone who enjoyed his stories when he was waiting on Dru or drinking coffee. After being homebound, he continued to enjoy the many friends, who continued to visit him at home and in the care centers, especially Jerry Estes who visited him daily, if not twice a day. He also enjoyed the constant company of his animals Sadie, Taco and Felicia.
