Nathaniel was the son of John Davis and Eleanor Jones. He was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in March 1776 as a Private for Capt. Minot and Col. Lampson, in May 1776 as an Artilleryman for Capt. Gill and Col. Crafts and finally from May 1777 until Jan. 1778 as a Corporal for Capt. Brown and Col. Robinson. He married Millicent Hubbard, daughter of Ebenezer Hubbard and Hannah Estabrook on 20 February, 1783 in Concord, MA. Together, they had nine children - Elijah, Sally Bond, Nathaniel, John, Betsey, Eleanor, Samuel Hubbard and twins Hannah Estabrook and Ebenezer Hubbard. They lived in Weston, MA, had a farm in Concord, MA adjacent to his father John and then settled in Woburn where they lived until their deaths, three days apart, in 1835.
