Syble Daphene Potts Mackey Bonner, 66, a resident of Wolfforth, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Covenant Lakeside in Lubbock, Texas due to a long untreated diagnosis of ovarion cancer.
Syble was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Garvin County, Okla., and as a teenager moved from Paul's Valley to Terry County, Texas. This is where she met and on 30 October 1947 married the love of her life Jimmy H. Mackey.
Jimmy and Syble were engaged in farming, Jimmy's country western band and in raising their four daughters.
Sadly March 7, 1968 Jimmy passed away.
Syble had been a resident of Lamesa for 25 years, prior to moving to Wolfforth. She was a member of Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She was preceeded in death by her first husband; Jimmy Mackey; and her beloved inlaws Allie and J.B. Mackey; she was also preceeded in death by her mother, Sylvia McCarty Potts; her father; a sister; a brother, and many friends and loved ones. As well as four daughters and two step-sons some whos names are omitted named below.
WOLFFORTH (Special) Private memorial services will be held for Syble Bonner, 66, of Wolfforth.
Cremation is under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Covenant Lakeside in Lubbock.
She was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Garvin County, Okla., and moved from Paul's Valley to Terry County in 1946. She married Charles Bonner on June 30, 1974, in Terry County. She and her husband owned and operated Bonner's Boot Barn in Lamesa. She had been a resident of Lamesa for 25 years, prior to moving to Wolfforth in 1999. She was a member of Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband;Charles L. Bonner, of Woolforth; four daughters, Omitted of Meadow, Texas, Omitted of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Omitted of Lubbock and Carolyn Byrum and her husband Tim Byrum of Lovington, N.M.; two step-sons, Omitted, and Omitted; three brothers; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
