You were very blessed with the skill of working with people of special needs, Shannon was the gift to you as you adopted him with full knowledge and understanding, then loving him without reservation....

The Special Olympics was your joy, as you went with Shannon & all the CARC crew to all the locations and events that CARC participated in, some events were Softball, Track & Field, Basketball, and Bowling....

You loved the Colorado mountains, and took Shannon there & camped on a mountain top Once in your pop-up camper, and another time in a tent with lots of snow on the ground....

Anything to do with the outdoors always got you going, especially if there was someplace to go to see 'antiques' ...

One of your accomplishments was completing night school at McNeese for your degree, then got a couple of special courses and took a State test that qualified you to become a leader at CARC.

You once had given me the greatest of compliments when you said that you knew that I "understood" who Shannon was... I was very proud of my association with him....

We were in the class of '63, Iowa HS, Iowa, La. I miss my friend, Rest in Peace.....

A single flower was just as nice as a dozen because someone had given it to you....

You always opened up your camper, with a jar full of some kind of flowers in the middle of the table... So I leave you with a small bunch today, as I remember you.....
