Housewife. Daughter of John George and Margaret Ann (Welsh) Kreglow. Married Albert Clifford Shafer on 6 Feb 1879 in Clark County, OH. Mother of Bertha May b. 5 Apr 1883, Earl Clifford b. 31 Mar 1885 and Florence Abbie b. 30 Jun 1890.

MRS. ALBERT C. SHAFER
Mrs. Albert C. Shafer, 89, of 1025 S. Center st., died at 1:12 p.m. Sunday in the City Hospital following an illness of three weeks.
Born Aug. 14, 1856, in Logan County near Quincy, the daughter of James and Margaret Welsh Kreglow, she had been a resident of Springfield for 70 years.
Mrs. Shafer was the widow of Albert C. Shafer. She was a member of the Third Lutheran Church, and for many years was very active in the Bible Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Florence Brown, of Springfield; a granddaughter, Mrs. Merrill B. Weller; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home to be returned to the residence Monday noon where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Russell Bussabarger, pastor of the Third Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
