Edward was the son of Carl (Charles) and Mary Katherine (Cislak) Juraszek. He was raised a devout Catholic. He had one brother, Joseph Andrew, and five sisters, Rosalie, Fran, Valerie, Theresa (who later became Sister Mary Antonelde)and Irene. Edward entered the Army and fought in WWII.
