Lynn Odus Parsons 90, of Brownsburg, died Wed., Nov. 25, 2009. He was born May 29, 1919 to William Nelson and Jessie Swindler Parsons in Hendricks County, IN. Lynn married Sara K. Pavey in July 1946. Lynn was drafted into the Army in the first group from Hendricks County before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Serving as a Captain in the US Army Air Corp, he was a P-47 Fighter Pilot in the South Pacific during WWII, and flew 230 missions prompting his surname the 'Hoosier Hot Shot' by fellow airmen. Upon returning home Lynn managed the Lizton Lumber Company, which he then bought and operated until 1977. Lynn is survived by wife Sara K.; children Cheri Schupp, Kevin (Janis) Parsons and Craig (Deb) Parsons, and four grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lynn was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and the Brownsburg Christian Church.
