The Recorder Herald, Jan 29, 1929, pg 3-4:
MRS. MARY E. CLARK
At the age of 83 years, Mrs. Mary E. Clark passed away at her little cabin home in Salmon, Friday January 11, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Funeral services were held from the Doebler mortuary Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the remains laid to rest beside her beloved husband, who died in 1925. Rev. F.F. Frisbie conducted the service.
In her Bible which showed constant use, was found her own obituary and the lineage of the Yearian family back to 1818. Mary E. Yearian Clark was born in Texas, where she lived until seven years of age. Moved with her parents to Illinois and came to Idaho in 1873. Mr. and Mrs. Clark owned a small ranch on the Lemhi, later moving to town and for several years before Mr. Clark's death, he was janitor at the Lincoln School. Since his death she has lived alone until in declining health it was necessary to have some one care for her.
On the slip of paper found in her Bible was written that her only surviving relative is a brother in Illinois.
