Eldon A. Crampton, 88, formerly of 2800 W. Memorial Drive, (Freedom Acres) and more recently of Williamsburg Village, died Thursday in Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born in Shideler, he moved into Muncie in 1920. He attended Muncie Community Schools and graduated from Central High School.
He was employed by Ball Corp. for 44 years and retired in 1970.
Survivors include a son, Robert Crampton, Chino, Calif.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Connie and Timothy Davis, Muncie, Sandra and Russ Hawkins, Nashville, Miche., and Patricia Crampton, DeBarry, Fla.; nine grandchildren adn several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His brother, Cyril Crampton, died last week in Jasper, Ala.
Services will be at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday. Cremation will follow. Calling will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
