Isaac W. McIntire was born in Ohio in 1838 and came to Illinois when a mere boy. He grew to manhood near Kingston, IA and in 1864 was married to Miss Louise [actually Lois] Martin of Dallas City, who survives him. They lived in Henderson County many years, moving in 1901 to Kewanee where he was an employee of the tube works. Eight children, one of whom died in infancy, were born to them--Mrs. Ida Asher of Gladstone, Mrs. Flora Haffner and Mrs. Florence Putney and Clay McIntire of Oquawka, Mrs. Maud Vincent and Claud [actually Clyde] McIntire of Kewanee and Mrs. Jessie Curry of Kewanee." - From the Monmouth Atlas Review, 13 October 1908.
