Hunter was the owner and operator of Hunter's Body Shop for 25-years. He was past president of the Kiwanis Club and a member of the Cattlemens Association. He was a founding member of Sheppard Heights Assembly of God Church, a senior board member, faithful member and Sunday School teacher for almost 55-years. Hunter was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Lee Hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Delores McDonald Hunter of Minden; two sons, Billy Mac Moore and wife Paula of Heflin and Barry Hunter of Shreveport; one daughter, Deborah Prince and husband Eddie of Heflin; four sisters, Ernell Riner of Warner Robins, Ga., Elaine Bogues and Jean Mills, both of Haynesville, and Francene Johnson of Shreveport.
