Thomas Gillfillan was born 1751 in Londonderry County, Ireland
and died March 28, 1816 in Ross County, Ohio . He married Agnes High
1780 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She was born 1763 in Londonderry
County, Ireland, and died April 24, 1828 in Ross County, Ohio.

Notes for Thomas Gillfillan:
Thomas fought on the frontier in the Revolutionary War. The family came
to Ross County, Ohio from Pennsylvania , in 1803. Thomas was a farmer and
schoolteacher, teaching the first school in adjoining Huntington Township.
It was located near Ralston's Run . Thomas and Agnes Gillfillan are buried
in Shoults Cemetery in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio.

He was a private in Captain John Vanmeter's Company, Fourth Battalion,
Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania Militia.

on page 68 is our Thomas Gilfillan/fillfillen,
and it shows: Thomas was born 1751 in County Derry, Ireland and died
28 Mar 1816 in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio. His wife Agnes High was
born in 1763 and died 24 April 1828 in Twin Township,Ross County, Ohio .

Thomas served as a private in Captain John VAN METER;S CO. in the
4th Battalion of the Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania Militia.
Thomas is buried in the Schultz Cemetery (Storms Station) on the Spargursville
Road in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio

Fidler had a brother Valentine Fidler, believe the Varintine above was supposed
to be Valentine, and it would be her brother. It shows Valentine Fidler born
1797 in Purgitsville, Hampshire, VA
