Hi My Name is Koda and heres my story...
My Dad saw me in the local paper for free and I was the last one of the litter and was concidered the "runt" of the family. When my dad came out to get me I was hiding under a camper. I was a little off yellow and was a little butter ball with BIG paws. Dad knew right away I was going to be a big boy. Before I was two years old I used to love to chew on two leter bottles, pull the stuffing out of all my teddy bears and also had the opertunity to chew up a couple of electric tooth brushes and a sectional sofa. My first house was very cool because it was across from a lake and I used to love to take off across the railroad tracks and go swimming in the lake all by myself till my owner would whistle for me and I would come running home. The next year we moved into a nice house on a corner with a big fenced yard for me to play in and this is where I stayed. As I grew up, I used to love it when we would go camping in the woods or go to the beach. The first time I saw the Ocean, I ran as fast as I could into the water and took a poop! It was the best and I didnt even care if there WAS a little kid next to me when I did that. As I grew, I kept my dad on his toes when I learned I could reach the counter with ease. Ive licked the butter dish clean and have been able to get the lid off the peanut butter jar so that I could lick all but the last little bit out. I did this on more then one ocassion. One time after bringing home salt water taffy from the beach, I enjoyed the whole bag while my dad was at work. Dad thought I would be sick for sure but never was. Iron gut. Some of my favorite activitys include taking long walks, Playing soccar (eat ball) Running while dad rollerbladed, Swimming and playing with My cousins Merlin, Zed, Addie Mae, Gib, Sadie and the new puppy Theus. They are from the schnauzer side of the family. Speaking of family, I should tell you a little about mine. I live with my dad Rik and my human Jarrod. I have two brothers, Boomer the cat who Ive been with since I was a pup and Moses the dog. He was adopted and joined the family about three years ago. We all get along just fine.
I wish I had more time to finnish Koda's story and someday I will but just to catch you up to speed. June 23, 08 we were told that Koda had a fast spreading, terminal bone cancer. He was spoiled ALL his life and even more so in his last three months. today.. 09/26/08 I had to lay my best friend Koda to rest.
We will LOVE and MISS you forever Dubby
The Rainbow Bridge
" Just this side of Heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends So they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor, those who were maimed are made whole again. Just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special
to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge Together....
