My beautiful Aunt Jane was born in the family home in Catonsville, MD. She became a nurse and worked for a time in the Pacific with polio patients. She married Dr. Gary O. Morris of Midland, Texas in 1953.
She and Uncle Gary had 3 children, Christopher Owen, Karen Astrid and Eric Knudsen. They settled in Rockville, MD. Aunt Jane was an avid Baltimore Colts fan and loved Johnny U. She was an excellent cook. She had jet black hair and she loved beautiful clothes. She always looked gorgeous. I thought it was so cool when she and Uncle Gary were invited to and attended a tea party given by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain in 1971.
In March, 1972 our family was shocked to receive the news that she and Uncle Gary had disappeared while vacationing on the island of St. Lucia in the Virgin Islands. Despite the extensive search efforts of the US Coast Guard and the British Royal Navy, they were never found. Uncle Gary was a prominent psychiatrist in Washington D. C. and an expert in hypnosis and their deaths were linked to the Watergate scandal. If interested, you will find various references to them particularly in regard to Dr. Gary Morris and Watergate and Dr. Gary Morris and Dorothy Hunt (wife of E. Howard Hunt) on the web.
I miss them and still dream that I see them in the distance somewhere. I pray that they are safe with God and are at peace.
VERY SPECIAL THANKS: To Soccer Tori, for sponsoring Aunt Jane's memorial. She is a warm caring young lady who has great compassion for people! I am forever grateful.
