This is an UNDOCUMENTED burial as no tombstone has been found. I was told that in the 1950's all the old field stones and broken stones were removed to make mowing and trimming with power mowers much easier.
He was the son of Anthony and Barbara (Baumann) Rosenbaum.
He grew up on his father's farm in Lancaster Co., PA (now Dauphin Co.)
He married Charaty Gertrude ______?. Shortly after the death of his father he sold his part of the estate and joined the big migration to the south.
We find Alexander on the tax rolls of Rowan County, North Carolina in 1778. The first deed to him (Deed Bk.12, pg.469) dated 31 oct 1791. It was grant number 2009 for 600 acres on both sides of Brishy Fork of Abbot's Creek.
Two years later he sold this land and moved over the state line into Virginia. He was on the tax lists in both Wythe and Washington counties through 1805. He died in Aug of 1806 in Washington County Virginia and his estate probated there.
He was the father of eight children; Anthony, John, Mary, Mathias, George, Adam, Eve and Charaty.
