Charleston - Edward Gene Babb, a lifetime resident of Charleston, died Monday at his home here. He was 64 years old.
He was born April 20, 1920, the son of William Smith and Lucy Randall Babb. He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
On June 11, 1955, he married Virginia Weakley, who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Pamela S. Babb; two sons, Randall G. and William S. Babb; a brother, Woodrow S. Babb; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
