Mary E. Love

Miss Mary E. Love, 88, of McAdams, former director of the Mississippi Library Commission, died Dec. 25, 1999 at Mississippi Care Center in Greenville following an illness of several years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McAdams Baptist Church with burial in Sallis Cemetery.

Miss Love was a graduate of M.S.C.W. and received her masters degree in library science from L.S.U. She was a member of McAdams Baptist Church and the Samuel Hammond Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She was honored several years ago with the naming of the Mary E. Love Meeting Room at the Attala County Library, headquarters of the Mid-Mississippi Regional Library.

She is survived by two brothers, W.N. "Nick" Love of Minden, LA and Paul C. Love of Glen Allan; seven nephews and two nieces.

Memorials may be made to the Student Scholarship Fund, Mississippi University for Women, Columbus, MS.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
