Stanley Caldwell, 50 years druggist, dies.
Stanley Foster Caldwell, 83, who operated Caldwell's Drug Store in Bentleyville for 50 years before retiring, died Saturday at 3:15 a.m. in Presbyterian-University Hospital, Pittsburgh. He lived in the Chatham Center Apartments, Pittsburgh.
Born May 29, 1886, in Forward Twp., he was a son of the late Eben and Jennie Perkins Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell was a graduate of Grove City College and the University of Pittsburgh's School of Pharmacology.
He was a member of Bentleyville Presbyterian Church, Beallsville Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons No. 237, Scottish Rite and Syria Temple, Pittsburgh.
Funeral Notice: Caldwell, Stanley Foster, 83, of Chatham Center Apartments, Pittsburgh, who operated Caldwell's Drug Store in Bentleyville for 50 years before retiring, died Saturday, June 21, 1969, at 3:15 a.m. in Presbyterian – University Hospital, Pittsburgh. Surviving are his widow, Ethel Hartzell Caldwell; a brother, Eben in California state. Friends are being received at the Greenlee Funeral Home in Beallsville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service there Tuesday, June 24, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Paul Montgomery officiating. Interment, Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a favorite charity. Greenlee Funeral Home in charge.
