The first known census that James Bryant where it is sure he is in was 1900. It tells that he was born in Tennessee, in about 1863. He was living in Civil District 19, Greene, Tennessee in a rented house and working out as a farm laborer.
He had been married to Olive "Olly" Luticia Cupp for 12 years. Five children were in the home James O Bryant 10
Lula F Bryant 9; Violet J Bryant 6; Daisy A Bryant 6; Delly M; as well as Josie Holdor 18, a servant.

On May 5,1905 Twin babies were born to James and Ollie. Albert and Bonnie.

On Aug 4, 1905 Lula, the oldest daughter was married to James Jesse Robertson.

In October 1905 the sad day arrived when James dear Olive "Olly" Luticia Cupp Bryant, his wife and mother of his children, spirit returned to God. James gathered his children and friends at a site chosen to bury Olly earthy body to bid his beloved wife to Rest in Peace.

On 10 Mar 1920 James youngest daughter Bonnie married Robert Edgar Reeves
