Daughter of Jas H. & Ann [Smith] Morgan; Wife of David Fields; Mother of Spicey Elizabeth, Louisa Ann, Lucy Margaret, Stephen Robert, John Wesley, B. Washington & Thomas A. Fields
It is said that she took the life of a Yankee soldier by hitting him in the head with an iron skillet when, upon returning to her home, she discovered him stealing food, which there was little enough to feed her own children.
She was known as Aunt Becky in the Fields family, smoked a stove pipe and wore a bonnet. She died near Fraley's Chapel.
