Yesterday morning th rwife of Mr. Jacob roland, living in Wunder's Alley, above Eleventh Street, between Penn and Franklin, went up stairs to make the beds. All the rest of the family had left the house.
Soon a daughter returned, who had gone away from home to work, and not feeling well lay down in the front room on the first floor, Mr Roland came home at noonm and not seeing his wife, inquired where she was. The daughter remarked that she supposed she must have gone out on some errand as she had not been about the house all forenoon. After taking dinner the young girl went upstairs for some article she wanted to use, when she found her mother lying dead on one of the beds. She had evidently been in the act of making the bed when she fell over and died. She had been subect to giddy spells for sometime, and it is supposed that one of those weak spells came over her yesterday morning, and she did no recover. Mrs. Roland was 52 years of age.
