He was born Nov. 25, 1954, in Patrick County, Va., to the late William Junior Pack and Iva Holt Pack.
He was a member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law: Kelly and Justin Haynes of Cana, Va., Renee Pack of the home, and Jennifer Brindle of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren: Kaylee Branch and Riley Hawks; an expectant grandchild, Chason Pack; four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Ruby and William Beasley, Judy and Ted Cox, Frances and Bobby Leonard, and Shelby and Danny Sawyers, all of Westfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Roger and Wanda Holt of Mount Airy, and Bobby and Robin Pack and Randy and Rita Pack, all of Westfield; several nieces and nephews; numerous friends; and a very "special friend," Roger Sawyers.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by four siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Brown Mountain Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Rickey Rogers and the Rev. Eddie Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Moody Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Service, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, to help with Mr. Pack's funeral expense.
