My beloved titi Pilar!!! You were my father's aunt, my great aunt, but to me you were always titi Pilar.
I remember you, your fighting spirit, your yearning for knowledge, the way you taught so many students in your Spanish classes, how you taught all your nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, at every oportunity you had. You were a constant in all our lives and we all loved you in spite of your occasional stern attitudes towards the younger generation. I always understood you because you came from another time, a time in which family members respected each other always, no matter what. How things have changed, titi Pilar!
Thank you for showing our generation to be respectful of each other, to love and support each other as family and to always remember our whole family: great grandparents, grandparents, grand uncles and grand aunts, cousins, parents and siblings.
Thank you for being a part of my life. I will always love and admire you and will never forget you.
