MURRAY- Mary Olive Shelley Thorne, 86, died Thursday, Nov.4, 1982, at a daughter's home in Bennion. She was born Aug 2, 1896, in American Fork to John Heber and Deborah Jane Clements Shelley. She married to Silas S. Thorne on Jan. 30, 1918, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. he died on Aug. 23, 1973.
She was a long-time resident of Bingham Canyon and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors include four daughters and one son, Mrs. Afton Hallett, West Jordan; Mrs. Keith (Reva) Parker, Bennion; David S. Thorne, Boulder, Col; Mrs. Gene (Alta) Cunliffe, Sandy; Mrs. Monte (Marilyn) Groesbeck, Provo, 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Monday, 11 a.m. in the Murray 17th LDS Ward Chapel, 6300 S. 300 E., Murray. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State, Murray, tonight from 6 to 8 o'clock and Monday at the church one hour before services. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
