Will
November 3, 1926
This is how we, J. R. Shepherd and wife Mary C. Shepherd want our estate settled.
We want what is already fixed to stand just as it is, then we want the best of our house property divided among our children, then we want all the outdoor property sold except the cows and hog if we have any at the time. Also if there is any house property that is not wanted by the one that lives the longest, sell that to them. We want enough money kept back to pay both of our burying expenses and to get a double tombstone not to exceed $250.00. Then we want the balance of the money divided equally among you children. Then at the death of the one that dies last, sell the rest of the things and divide the money likewise if it is not but one dollar apiece. And we want John E. Shepherd to settle it for just enough money to pay him for his time and expenses.
