Elizabeth was the daughter of Martin Wails. About 1790, her family moved to GA. By 1793, Elizabeth married Thomas Batson Jr. in Washington County, GA. They lived in Montgomery County, GA. 1811-1813, they moved to Marion County, MS where Thomas became a charter member of the Silver Creek Baptist Church. Thomas' sister Adelphia was married to Col. John Bond; and sister Georgia married Lt. William Bond. William was also a charter member of the Silver Creek Church. After Thomas died, Elizabeth married widower John Bond and moved to Covington County. Elizabeth was one of the first to buried in what was originally called the "Bond burying ground". Children: Seth married Mary Fowler and moved to TX; James; Eli; Sarah; Nancy; Thomas married Elizabeth Davis and moved to Pass Christian; Minurva married Christopher Miller Jr and moved to Galveston, TX; Elizabeth married Zachariah Rester and moved to Mobile, AL; Mary.
