DECATUR -- Clarence E. Wangrow, 74, of Decatur died 4:58 p.m. Monday (Dec. 29, 1997) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park with military rites by VFW. Memorials: American Lung Association or Lutheran School Association.
Mr. Wangrow was born in Vandalia on Oct. 14, 1923, the son of Henry and Bertha Geiger Wangrow. He retired from A.E. Staley Mfg. Co., was a World War II Army veteran and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Golden K. He married Helen L. Diveley on Nov. 10, 1945.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Marsha Fast of Decatur; brothers, Carl Wangrow of Decatur; Alvin Wangrow of Vandalia; sister, Helen Barnes of Apache Junction, Ariz.; grandchildren, Tamara Fast of Marietta, Ga.; Michelle Ottosen of Roswell, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brother
